All The Governors for the
state of Massachusetts Stink
!
By Manuel Luciano da Silva, M. D.

Since the arrival of the  English Pilgrims at Plymouth, in 1620, NEVER a Governor of Massachusetts visited Dighton  Rock.

I do not know the total number  of Governors the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  What I know is that since 1960, I have invited EVERY GOVERNOR of Massachusetts to visit Dighton Rock and NONE had done so, up to this date!   Why?

(1) Even the Governor that signed the Bill to created the Dighton Rock State Park in 1954.

(2) Even the Governor that  signed the Bill to elevate the rock eleven feet,  and place it in a cofferdam -- in 1963.

(3) Even the  Governor that signed the Bill to build the Pavilion to keep the rock inside  of a  glass enclosure – 1973.

(4) Even the  Governor that signed the Bill to build the Museum proper in 1976.

Please note that every Governor passed,  during their campaigns,  on the highway 24, only TWO MILES from the Dighton Rock Museum!

Why the Governors have not visited the Dighton Rock?
Because Dighton Rock does not vote?

The State of Massachusetts has spent more than TWO MILLIONS dollars with the Museum and the Dighton Rock State Park.

And up to now NO Governor cares to see it as  a curiosity, or as an American citizen interested in the historical values of the State of Massachusetts.

It is sad, very sad indeed,  when we have the so called leaders behave this way!

Here is the  letter of the only Governor that had the courtesy of answering my invitation, Governor Michael Dukakis!
