The Basic Principals
of Investigating History

By Manuel Luciano da Silva, M. D.            Sept. 2004

In the process of studying and investigating the History of the World Discoveries there are TWO fundamental principals that  EVERY  student or researcher MUST KNOW.

(1)     Must know THE DIRECTION of  the water currents and the winds: the ocean currents in the north hemispheres are clockwise and in the  southern hemisphere are counterclockwise.

These currents and winds have been this way for millions of years!!!

Knowing this basic principal,  we will understand why Vasco da Gama took the route he did on the very first voyage to India.  (Bartomeu Dias spent ten years, discovering that  the water currents in the southern hemisphere are counterclockwise)

Ocean Currents on the north hemisphere are clockwise,  in the southern hemisphere are counterclockwise.

It was the great navigator, Bartolomeu Dias, that during ten years  studied and discovered the gigantic figure of  8,  describing the water current of north and south Atlantic

The heart of the Atlantic has a Portuguese name: Sargasso Sea.  It was Benjamin Franklin who first ordered a map of the Gulf  Stream,  in 1769,   to speed the mail to Europe.

(2)  The second  basic principal is the  GREEK  PUNCTUATION SIGNS: Period, Comma and Colon and Semi-Colon.

These signs were first invented by Pythagoras, the Greek Mathematician. Pythagoras lived  580 BC to ?  It is believed he was born in the island of Samos, Greece. He is famous for the Pythagoras Theorem. The theorem states that “ the square of the hypotenuse of a right-angled triangle is equal to the sum of the square of the other two sides”.

As a philosopher Pythagoras  taught that  the NUMBERS are the essentials of all things!  Pythagoras believed that the earth was spherical!!

Pythagoras believed that everything in nature has a RHYTHM  which  could be expressed in numbers!!!   Based on this philosophical idea Pythagoras discovered  the five lines of music and musical scale!!! Pythagoras invented the punctuation signs in order to regulate the spaces and compasses  in the music!!!  Pythagoras was the Einstein of the Antiquity. He saw everything in nature thru mathematics. Einstein saw everything in nature thru electricity. Indeed the electricity is the common denominator of the universe!

Why do we count the hour in 60 minutes and not in 100?

Pythagoras after traveling to the Mesopotamia  obtained the information that  the number 60 was the  great denominator  instead of 100, because  number 60  can be divided by more numerals  than the number 100.

Number 60 can be divided in TWELVE parts and the number 100 only in NINE parts

Dividing 60 – In 12 parts

We divide number 60 by 1 = 60

We divide number 60 by 2 = 30

We divide number 60 by 3 = 20

We divide number 60 by 4 = 15

We divide number 60 by 5 = 12

We divide number 60 by 6 = 10

We divide number 60 by 10 = 6

We divide number 60 by 12 = 5

We divide number 60 by 15 = 4

We divide number 60 by 20 = 3

We divide number 60 by 30 = 2

We divide number 60 by 60 = 1

Dividing 100 – In 9 parts

We divide number 100  by 1= 100

We divide number 100  by 2= 50

We divide number 100  by 4 = 25

We divide number 100 by 5 = 20

We divide number 100  by 10 =10

We divide number 100  by 20 = 5

We divide number 100 by 25 = 4

We divide number 100  by 50= 2

We divide number 100  by 100= 1

How were the clocks started?

A clock is an instrument that serves to measure the time, day and night, by dividing it into equals parts.  In the antiquity the  number 60, for the reasons described above,  was the logical total number.

The first clocks were marked-off by the shadows of sticks. When the shadow was short, the time of day was near noon. When the shadows were long on either side, the day was beginning or ending. And this way the first sundial was born, and from it the  face of the clock was conceived.

Until 1300 the clock was only concerned with hours, not minutes. It was in 1700 that  the pendulum was developed and the minute hand was added to  the  face of the clock!

John Harrison's marine chronometer to measure the  longitude in the high seas (1735)  It shows hours and minutes

You might say: Who cares?  But we all obey by the hour divided in 60 minutes. With this simple information, at least we know how the 60 minutes were started and why! Shouldn’t this simple information be given in our schools, or is this too silly to pass on?  A least the 60 minutes is  one more example of the intellectual power of Pythagoras!

Let us now  analyze the signs of punctuation  and see what  their meanings are.

Period—[ . ] is a Greek  compound  word, peri + hodos. Peri is a Greek prefix which means going around, circle, space of time. Hodos means path, street, length.

Thus a period gives us a space of time ( e. g. lunar  period, solar period, musical period, menstrual period),  and a space of measurement ( e. g. sentence, perimeter, peripheral). But it also denotes repetition when  it appears in front of a letter as in a musical stave.

Comma à [ , ] is derived from the Greek Komma which means pause in a sentence or in a musical composition.

Colon à  [ : ] in Greek means member, parts phallus (penis). Indeed when we use a colon in punctuation,  it divides a  sentence into parts or members.

Semicolon à  [ ; ]  also divides a sentence into parts or members.

We also have to know  colon and semicolon have three  different meanings:

(1) Punctuation,  as described above.

(2) Anatomical: colon ascendant, colon transversal, colon descendent. There are more that 40  medical words composed with the root colon. And also  genital parts, from the meaning of phallus.

(3) Religious or mystical,  since antiquity.

Where does the word phallus (penis ) come from?

From Phoenicia ! And where is  Phoenicia  today?  It is Lebanon. In the antiquity Lebanon possessed an abundance of special cedars growing on its mountains, and from these trees they built  their prototype boats, permitting them to navigate easily throughout  the entire Mediterranean.

Because of their travelings  they felt the need to communicate, and invented the CONSONANTS,  which we use today in our alphabet. But this simple truth is not taught in our schools today! And their neighbors,  the Greeks, invented the VOWELS. But this simple truth is not taught in our schools today!

One more thing that we have to know before moving forwardly.  If the Phoenicians used the word PALLUS referring to a very important part of our body  which is the penis and the testis, the Greeks,  to the northwest, used the word or sign, COLON.  And the Jews to the south of Lebanon used the  word ZARCO.

In conclusion: COLON,  ZARCO or PALLUS  are one and the same, with SAME MEANING .

Why  is the meaning of Phallus so important in all civilizations?

Since  all  the primitive tribes,  man has observed that, the only part of his body that changes as an expression of strength and power,  is his penis when it becomes erected, and therefore man becomes virile.

This simple empiric observation led man – every where, even in the  various degrees of  civilization  --  to associated   the   physical changes, (erection)   or the power of the phallic symbol,  to the meaning of the  superpower, and therefore phallus (or penis)  became the  UNIVERSAL ICON OF STRENGTH, and even attained  RELIGIOUS meaning in the antiquity!  Old Testament and New Testament and testimonial are derived from the word: testis.

How can we today prove this?

Why is it that every human being on the surface of this earth has  his or hers last name after the father’s name? Because of the power of the phallic symbol, his or her father’s penis and testicles!

Why is that even today  the common people – vox  populi – used  “four letter words”  to described the genital colon or genital parts. All these so called slang words are all derived from the word colon.  Test yourself by recalling these four letter words and you will verify that their roots come from colon…

Every town or city in the world has major phallic symbols  - monuments, skyscrapers -- and yet the general public do not know their meaning.   They represent strength,  they symbolized the virility  of a  nation!

Even today our society is infiltrated with the phallic symbols: our money, our architecture,  our theatre,  movies,  and even  advertisements. Even our gestures: thumbs up, give the finger, making a figa, are phallic symbols!!!

The phallic symbol before the cross symbol.

When we look at the Egyptian, Greek, and Roman civilizations,  we verify that the phallic symbol was every where, that it was indeed the predominant icon, as symbol of  strength, of virility,  of mysticism and religion.

A visit to the ruins of the city of  Pompeii will be sufficient to confirm this truth. Moreover  the first Catholic churches had on their walls  a three dimension  penis and testicles as the phallic symbol  signifying  strength and religious meaning!!!

We see today people displaying the Cross in their houses and yards in order “to ward off the evil eye”.  In the antiquity,  the icon with same meaning of “warding off the evil eye”  was the PHALLIC SYMBOL! This is the same reason why people still used today phallic amulets!

Today people continue to be brain washed with symbol of  the Cross.  They cannot analyze the world history WITHOUT the symbol of the Cross,  and give the space,  that indeed,  belongs  to the MEANING OF  THE PHALLUS!

When I trained at the famous Lahey Clinic in Boston,   (Internal Medicine from 1960 to 1963,)  we used to see patients from all over the world. We had a rule. We did not see any X rays, or laboratory tests  that the patients brought with them BEFORE we did our own first  and  NEW DIAGNOSIS.

I have been  using the same scientific method investigating the history of Cristovão Colon!  I approach any document , with a fresh interpretation, not with a preconceived notion! This is the very  reason why  my wife and I have discovered things --  that have been there --  but the general public, OR THE HISTORICAL INVESTIGATORS  have missed!

This is the reason why I look at the discussion of Columbus being Genovese, as if I am looking  at a soap opera, or telonovela, in Portuguese!

Let them go at each other. I am just enjoying the exchange of letters, because their premises are  all based on false documents, and speculative writing!

The Navigator , CC, has chosen the name Colon because of its religious and mystic power.

In addition to its meaning in punctuation and anatomy (as described above) the word Colon has a religious or spiritual meaning and serves to “ward off the evil eye”. It equates the making of the sign of the Cross to protect us from the evil”, or" ward off the evil eye".

Cristovão Colon has  chosen Colon because he foresaw  that he would face bad weather and tempests on the high sea during his long and  arduous voyage. Highly religious, he wanted to take with him all the protection he could by using  the meaning of the Colon signs

In his Sigla  [ : XpõFERENS . / ], his name in the center is shielded  on either end by the protective Colon and Semicolon.

Now that we know all the three meaning of Colon, let us look at the Navigator’s Sigla. We are going to verify that, indeed to read his Sigla is very simple.

The  so called “historians”  DO NOT PAY ATENTION to the SIGNS of  Colon and Semicolon signs.  THESE SIGNS  ARE VERY, VERY IMPORTANT!

Up to five centuries ago, colon  and semicolon, were BOTH  just called  COLON.

COLON+ CRISTOVÃO+COLON

[ : ] Everybody knows that this punctuation sign is called even today COLON

What is so difficult about it?
Xpõ  is the Greek form for the word CHRIST. This  is general knowledge.

What is so difficult about it ?
FERENS  is the  Latin word that means “to carry”, or  “connecting the two  margins  of a river”.  In Portuguese the connection of  the two margins of a river by a bridge, that is,  the span of the bridge,  is called VÃO. Thus resulting into  the combination CRISTO +VÃO,  à CRISTOVÃO

What is so difficult about it?
[ . / ] is the other Colon

So we  can read the Sigla very simply, by just looking at it, which says to us even today

COLON CRISTOVÃO COLON

What is so difficult about it ?

The so called “historians” do not want to pay attention the Colon signs,  because they do not know the 3 meanings of the Greek Colon signs!!!

It is sad!  It is pathetic! That's why,  I give them plenty of rope!....
