By Andriana Chipi Tegu - 1976

Inside the Dighton Rock Museum, Berkley, Massachusetts

This lithocollage (lithos = stone + collage = gluing together) made entirely of New England slate with the Profile Rock of Freetown, Mass,  in the background, is an allegoric portrayal of Indians of Northeastern America.

This monument, the only of its kind in the world, is composed of more than 50,000 pieces of slate and took one year  to complete.

Now we are going to see details of all the Indian figures that compose the entire lithocollage.
