(18) Judge of the Superior Court
Judge John P. Bourcier was, for 21 years, a member of the Superior Court in the State of Rhode Island. On April 19, 1995, he was named to be elevated to Justice of the Rhode Island Supreme Court. Governor Almond nominating him for the State's Highest Court said: "Judge Bourcier has a long and very distinguished carrier as a associate justice of the Superior Court and has won the respect and praise of his colleagues and the public during the years he has served on the bench". Judge Bourcier was approved by the House of Representatives and also by the Senate. He is now a member of the Supreme Court of the State of Rhode Island. |
