The 20 Commandments for good Health in the year 2005

(1)   Avoid smoking – tobacco, marijuana (or smoking environment)

(2)   Avoid alcoholic beverages

(3)   Avoid red meats

(4)   Eat instead white meats such as chicken and turkey

(5)   Eat fish even fat fish because of the omega 3 and omega 6

(6)   Do not eat more than a teaspoon of salt per day

(7)   Do not eat more than 6 teaspoons of sugar per day

(8)   Cook only with unsaturated oil, such as Portuguese olive oil

(9)   Control your weight in relation to your height

(10)    Use the seat belts and the bike helmets

(11)     The best exercise is walking

(12)     Avoid trans-fats in such foods as cookies, cereals, donuts, candy-bars and reduce foods rich in cholesterol such as eggs, and pastries

(13)     Avoid foods made with refined flour such as breads, malassadas and sweet breads

(14)     Do not  eat potatoes

(15)     If you are going to drive, do not drink and obey the traffic laws.

(16)     Do not have sexual relations unless they are absolutely safe

(17)     Eat at least one pound of vegetables and  3  fruits per day

(18)     Above all reduce your meal portions. We only need one calorie per minute to live.

(19)     Change your  life style.  Do not be like an imitating monkey. Do not eat, nor drink, because you see  others  do the same. Do not be a hog that eats from the same  trough…

(20)     Become active in a social club or in a church of your choice.
