What is its composition? |
The Library-Museum Dr. Manuel Luciano da Silva is composed of (1) the house where I was born , (2) the contiguous modern library, (3) the pateo-garden and (4) suit for the caretaker of the entire complex.

The old house where I was born and the new Library This photo was taken on October 14, 2000
(1) The house where
I was born has three divisions: the kitchen with the oven
where the first
bread I ate was cooked, and a fireplace. One small room where I slept with
my brother and my parents bedroom where I was born, on september 5th,
1926.
(2) Contiguous to
the house where I was born, the part that was used as corrals for
the cows and food for the animals has been adopted for a suit for
the caretaker of the Library-Museum. The old characteristics of these buildings have been preserved truthfully.

From the east looking towards the west, seeing the connection of the old house into the library, showing also the first and second floor
(3) The modern Library has a connecting covered corridor to the house where I was born. The Library has a front of twenty feet high, with two floors with shelves for books and has air conditioned.
(4) The courtyard-garden has a Replica of Dighton Rock (made of fibroglass) and one cherry tree in honor of my father. During the last century there were many cheery trees in this part of the village, and because of that my father's nick name was "O Cerejeiras" or "Mr. Cherry Tree".

The
west side of the old house. This is the part with the corral and food for the
animals. This
area will be adapted into a suit for the caretaker of the library-Museum.
Between
this building and the Library a cherry tree will be planted in honor of my father's nickname.
