When was it founded? |
It was on May 18, 1998, that the Association of Dr. Manuel Luciano da Silva, was incorporated in the City of Vale de Cambra, Portugal.
This non-profit organization was started by the industrialist and baker, Mr. Álvaro da Costa Leite, together with twenty six other personalities from Vale de Cambra and other places in Portugal.

Mr. Álvaro da Costa Leite is a great benefactor of sport, religious and cultural institutions in Portugal.
Mr. Alvaro da Costa Leite is the Financial Patron of the Library-Museum Dr. Manuel Luciano da Silva.
He is the founder and owner of the big "VICAIMA", a factory in Vale de Cambra, Portugal, which manufactures more than one million and half doors per year.
He is also owner of the large warehouse "JOMAR" , a factory that manufactures plywood and related products, near the airport of Oporto.
He owns more than 50% of the shares of the "FINIBANCO " and is the president of its administration.
Mr. Samuel Quental, Director of "Vicaima", and the supervisor of all the works of the Library Museum.
