AFRAID of Dighton Rock?
Why these scholars do not want to face the truth?

Up to now (January 2008) not one living American or Portuguese historian has ever visited Dighton Rock to decipher its inscriptions!
Why? Because the historians on both sides of the Atlantic are not able to make the diagnosis of the EPIGRAPHIC inscriptions etched onto the face of the Dighton Rock!
GEOLOGISTS.
If Dighton Rock is a bolder of 40 tons with a plane surface of 55 square feet covered with inscriptions, it would seem logical that the geologists would be the specialists to decipher the secret of its engravings. WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!
The geologists are responsible for the metamorphosis of the Earth, its volcanoes, earthquakes, tectonic plate movements and the geological composition of Dighton Rock, such as, its density, calcium, feldespathic, mica and other minerals.
Geology does NOT have the right to diagnose the inscriptions on the face of Dighton Rock. The limits of Geology terminate when MAN first appeared on Earth.
ARCHAEOLOGISTS
Archaeology begins where Geology ends its domain.
What is Archaeology? Archae means ancient, plus logy which means study. Therefore, Archaeology is the science that studies what human beings have done, many years ago, even when no writing or very little was known. Archaeology studies excavations, skeletons, monuments and artifacts, with the objectivity of diagnosing the way those people lived many years ago.
It seems incredible that up to now NO American archaeologist has examined - FACE TO FACE- the Dighton Rock inscriptions!!! Even the archaeologists from all the American universities of New England and the officers of the States Archaeological Departments have NOT FACED the Dighton Rock !!!
Why? Because they are ignorant of the epigraphic symbols of the XV and XVI centuries. And what is more pathetic is that they do not want to learn! These are the people that should learn new ideas – should make it their own important business -- to be prepared to teach and be open mind to their students!!!
Also still exists, unfortunately, in the United Sates of America, a predominance of Anglo-Saxon academics with Arian dominance attitude. Any achievement made by the Latin people descendents or any other ethnic group is considered inferior. And so these academicians with their superiority complex of megalomania – without ever examining -- face to face the Dighton Rock -- continue to emit their “doctoral theories” about the Dighton Rock inscriptions. What a pity!
An archaeologist has to be like a pathologist. Has to perform an autopsy, and base his diagnosis on the CADAVER’S findings, and nothing else. The CADAVER here is Dighton Rock!!!
Let us examine first the inscriptions engraved on the face of Dighton Rock, like an electrocardiogram, or biopsy, and forget the Phoenicians, the Egyptians, the Romans, Basques and everybody else!
Let us FIRST FIND WHAT IS ENGRAVED ON THE FACE OF THE ROCK, AND THEN, ASK THE ENTIRE WORLD, WHO POSSESSES SYMBOLS EQUAL TO THE ONES THAT ARE ENGRAVED ON THE ROCK.
Ladies and gentlemen, this will be USING THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD OF MAKING A TRUE DIAGNOSIS, not using bullshit to emit and an opinion about the Dighton Rock inscriptions!
Not a drop of Portuguese blood
In 1918, the man who first thought of the Portuguese theory was Professor Edmund Delabarre of Brown University and he did NOT have ONE drop of Portuguese blood!
He was a scientist. He was the founder of the Experimental Psychology in USA. He used the scientific methods he learned in Berlin, Germany, to research the medical effects of marijuana in his Laboratory at Brown University, in Providence, Rhode Island. (see Brown University website for Delabarre).
People today still think that Delabarre was just a “talk psychologist”. Not so, he was a scientist who used true scientific research! It was with his scientific knowledge that Professor Delabarre faced many times, during the day a and during the night, the face of Dighton Rock. This is science, not sitting far way in a university campus and emitting a diagnosis about Dighton Rock inscriptions!...
Delabarre did not based his discovery on racial or ethnic data. He based his theory on the INSCRIPTIONS HE FOUND ENGRAVED ON THE ROCK! He examined Dighton Rock like a CADAVER!
I feel like Delabarre. I am a scientist. I have a degree in Biology from New York University (1952) and a Medical Degree with distinction from the University of Coimbra, a Classical University (1957), so I know very well how to use the scientific methods of making diagnoses. I do not go by hearsay, or bullshit! I have faced many times the face of Dighton Rock, during the day, during the night, using all the scientific techniques available today. I challenge any scientist to face the Dighton Rock with me.
The Epigraphists.
Within this vast field of Archaeology, there is a specific scientific subdivision called EPIGRAPHY. This is a compound word formed by Epi, which means, at the surface, plus graphy which signifies study of writings or better yet, of inscriptions engraved on stones, wood or other materials.
The Epigraphists are the specialists responsible to make the diagnosis of the Dighton Rock inscriptions and nobody else! More important still, these epigraphists have to be experts of the Epigraphy of the XV and XVI centuries. They cannot be epigraphists for the Greek, Roman, Egyptian or Babylonian times.
UNFORTUNATELY THERE ARE NO EPIGRAPHISTS OF THE XV AND XVI CENTURIES, IN THE ENTIRE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!
Why?
HISTORIANS. Historians do not have the capacity to make the diagnosis of the inscriptions on Dighton Rock.
Why?
(1) First because historians – American and Portugueses – do not know the composition of the Specific Historic Cartouche of Dighton Rock.
(2) Second because no historian ever examine, in the locale, face to face, the Dighton Rock. They are afraid of their ignorance!
That a person does not know is human. But if that person does not want to learn, is a jackass! Worse still, -- it is when a person does not want “to examine the patient”, in this case the Dighton Rock, in its locale, -- and dares to emit an opinion about the Dighton Rock inscriptions, that is stupidity and knavery’!
Dighton Rock is the American Rosetta Stone
Champollion
The entire cultural world knows that it was the French Epigraphist, Jean-Francois Champollion, who deciphered, in 1822, the secret of the mysterious inscriptions of the famous Rosetta Stone which today is displayed in the Hall at the Entrance of the British Museum, in London, England.
The Rosetta Stone is 3 feet and 9 inches in height, 2 feet and 4.5” in width and 11 inches in thickness. It contains, on its surface, the same official message engraved in three languages: (1) Greek, (2) Old Egyptian or Demotic and (3) Hieroglyphic or very old Egyptian.
Champollion studied, during three decades, fourteen different languages and the national icons of those different countries before he was able to discover the name of Ptolomis = Ptolemy and Cleopatra engraved INSIDE of the Hieroglyphic Historical Cartouches.

The Hieroglyphic Historical Cartouches are, in reality, “combinations of letters and drawings of figures representing wards.”
It was with the discovery of the Historical Cartouches that Champollion was able to decipher, for the entire world, the fascinating Egyptian History of more than four thousand years!
The Historic Cartouche of Dighton Rock
If we want to discover the secrets of the Dighton Rock inscriptions, we have to do the same for Dighton Rock as Champollion did for Rosetta Stone. We have to find the Specific Historical Cartouche for Dighton Rock.
To accomplish this, we have to go to Portugal and become:
(1) very familiar with the Portuguese Cartographic writings;
(2) with the shape of the Arabian numerals used in Portugal in the 15th and 16th centuries;
(3) with the shapes and configurations of the Portuguese National Symbols;
(4) with the metamorphosis of the Cross of the Order of Christ;
(5) with the history of the Portuguese discoveries; and
(6) with the Royal Charts given to the navigators who came to North America during the 15th and 16th centuries.
With this knowledge we will become expert epigraphists of the 15th and 16th centuries!
Strangely, as it may seem, even TODAY there are NO epigraphists of the 15th and 16th centuries in Portugal, Europe and USA !
To make this categorical affirmation, in the year of 2000, I consulted hundreds of universities, by means of the Internet, in the USA, Canada, Portugal and several European countries, inquiring if they had in their teaching staffs epigraphists specializing in the 15th and 16h centuries.
I received hundreds of answers stating that they DO NOT HAVE ANY Epigraphists of the 15th and 16 centuries!!!
This finding is indeed shocking because the first globalization efforts started exactly in the 15th and 16 centuries, not only for Portugal but for several other European countries which scattered their national icons in so many distant lands.
All these countries should be offering courses in their universities that produce a series of epigraphists of the 15th and 16th centuries that could locate and diagnose epigraphic monuments that benefit their own countries.
Who have been the ball busters?
The blockers to prevent of the establishment of courses in the universities with the specific curriculum for Epigraphists of the 15th and 16th centuries all over the world have been the Historians!
These historians are totally ignorant of the 15th and 16th century Epigraphy. Yet, they continue to write their books of history, very comfortably in their libraries, using flowerily adjectives – writing history as their fancy chooses – without ever examining the true historical facts in their locales.
In Portugal, the situation is even more flagrant. During the Salazar’s dictatorship, no courses in journalism were offered by any of the Portuguese universities. Why? Because there was severe censorship. After the Revolution of April 25, 1974, courses of journalism were immediately created at the university level.
But, unfortunately fascism has NOT YET ENDED in Portugal! That country still has many of the old historians and old Historian Associations which continue to BLOCK the creation of courses of the Epigraphy in the 15th and 16th centuries for the national universities. Why? Because the historians realized that if the epigraphists of the 15th and 16th centuries existed in Portugal, they will take way all the glamour of the rights of finding out the true historical epigraphic facts concerning the Portuguese discoveries!
Six years ago, I sent to the President ( Reitor) — of my ‘alma matter’ in Medicine, the University of Coimbra — a detailed description of a Course of Epigraphy of the 15th and 16th centuries, to be established at that classical university, but his excellency did not even extend the courtesy of acknowledging receipt of my envelope!
The Specific Historical Cartouche for Dighton Rock
Let us pay attention now to what is more interesting. Let us assemble the Specific Historical Cartouche for Dighton Rock. Here is its drawing:

Even today NONE of the Anglo-Saxon Encyclopedias publishes any information whatsoever about the Portuguese National Symbols.

The Cross of the Order of Christ with extremities in 45 degree angles. This is the Cross displayed on all the sails of the Portuguese Caravels. There are 317 different crosses in the world, but the Portuguese Cross is the only one that has the extremities terminating in 45 degrees.
Miguel Corte Real is the Captain who left Lisbon on May 10, 1502 to North America in search of his brother, Gaspar Corte Real.
Pay attention to the shape of the following letters: Roman, Gothic and Uncial as they were used in those days in Portugal.

What should we do now with this Specific Historical Cartouche of Dighton Rock?
Let us take it with us inside of the Dighton Rock Museum.
When we are inside the pavilion, which now preserves the rock, we shut-off all the lights. Next, wait half a minute for our eyes to adjust and with a flash light, we illuminate, sideways, the various parts of the face of the Dighton Rock so we can accurately compare the symbols contained in the Historical Cartouche with the epigraphic inscriptions etched on the face of the rock. Now we are cooking! This is, indeed, how the epigraphic inscriptions should be read! Any other way is simply nonsense!
How can any historian, in all honesty, situated more than three thousand miles away from Dighton Rock, or even from any American university campus, write an opinion about the Dighton Rock inscriptions without EVER examining, face to face, the inscriptions and without knowing the Specific Historical Cartouche for Dighton Rock?!
Conclusion of the Original Inscriptions
After comparing the epigraphic inscriptions engraved on the face of the Dighton Rock with the Specific Historical Cartouche, it is very easy to arrive at the conclusion of the Original inscription made by Miguel Corte Real and his sailors in 1511.
That was what I did almost 50 year ago. Here is a photo we obtained of the Dighton Rock face while making a comparative analysis with the Portuguese national Symbols.

The Dighton Rock and the American Universities
How many universities are there in the USA? More than five thousand. Many have an academic status that can be considered the best in the world. But, as we said above, ALL of them are authentic ZEROS when it concerns offering courses of Epigraphy of the 1t5th and 16th centuries. This attitude is not typical of the American academic challenge. We hope that one of these days, soon, some American university will have the courage and the far sight to establish a course in Epigraphy for these two centuries we have been talking about.
In New England alone there are hundreds of Universities and thousands of professors. Only three professors visit the Dighton Rock Museum and they teach languages, not history, nor archeology.
Some American historians and archaeologist raise the doubt if any inscriptions were added to the rock to favor any specific theory.
To answer this question in specific reference to the Portuguese theory we can examine ALL of the 27 drawings made of the inscriptions BEFORE the discovery of photography in 1836 and we can VERIFY that in ALL of those drawings we can very EASILY FIND the Portuguese Crosses of the Order of Christ.
You can have the pleasure of seeing the Portuguese Cross of the Order of Christ on those drawings if you are familiar with such an icon.
But If you are as ignorant as the American historians and archaeologists, you will not able to see ANYTHING! Which is really sad!
298 years BEFORE the Portuguese theory was born, the Cross of the Order of Christ was ALREADY engraved on Dighton Rock!
My advise to all students:
(1) Be honest to yourself while you are a student.
(2) Concentrate, get as much as possible of the subject you want to graduate.
(3) Then in your practical life, you will get the reward and the tremendous satisfaction of fulfillment in your profession.
(4) You will be able to reach the independence I obtained.
(5) This is the reason why I do not need to have my name attached by any “umbilical cord” to New York University or Coimbra Medical School or any other institution of high learning. I created my own institution.
If I irritate some “Scholars”, it is good! I want them to mobilize their guts and come to see the Dighton Rock in its beautiful Museum.

I have peace of mind! I am confident on my epigraphic diagnosis of Dighton Rock inscriptions. Being a Medical Doctor, I am always open to new findings and new diagnosis.
Great minds of the past
I know there were many genius who made great discoveries for the good of Mankind and died without being recognized in their life time: Galileo, Copernicus, Mendel and even Alfred Wegener, a German Meteorologist, who in 1912, proposed the Theory of the Separation of the Continents. All geologists all over the world despised his discovery. It took 50 years until 1960 for the entire world to accept the truth of Wagener’s theory. Thirty years after his death! Simply because he was a meteorologist and not a geologist.
Science does not have any frontiers. I am really amazed how some so called scholars have such a narrow mind. Especially in the teaching professions, where the teachers should be wide open and encourage the students to challenge the unknowns!
Dighton Rock is an American monument. The American historians and archaeologists (epigraphists), should put their egos aside and concentrate on the historical value of Dighton for the American History, as a very important corner stone of our great country, the United States of America!
In Conclusion!
Champollion went to Egypt to study there the Egyptian Hieroglyphical icons to get the basic knowledge to decipher the Rosetta Stone.
When are the American Archaeologists (Epigraphists) going to decide to go to Portugal to learn about the Portuguese icons?
It took 50 years for the entire world to accept the Theory of Separation of the Continents discovered by Alfred Wegner.
Delabarre discovered the Portuguese Theory of the Dighton Rock inscriptions in 1918, NINETY YEARS AGO!
How many more years will it be necessary for the American scholars to stop their bias and practice instead the scientific methods of diagnosing the epigraphic inscriptions the Dighton Rock ?!!!!
The American Medicine has made tremendous discoveries in the last one hundred years! The Geophysics American Science sent men to the surface of the moon and they brought back to earth rocks from the moon! We had many years ago rocks from the moon visiting the Dighton Rock!!!
How come American astronauts have put their feet on the surface of the moon and the American archaeologists do not have the guts to put their feet in front of Dighton Rock?!
On March 11, 2008, 62 years ago, I was classified, by the Recruiting American Arms Forces in New York City, a "Mental Deficient" because at that time I did not know how to speak the English language. From "Mental Dificient" I became a Medical Doctor! After more than three generations, I wonder who in reality continues to be "Mental Deficient" in USA?!
The same terrible chronic disease of discriminating continues to exist in the minds of the American historians and archaeologists. This attitude is obnoxious towards the Constitutions of the United States of America. When is this terrible CANCER going to disappear forever from the USA?!
